 Dear Lakeway Area Chapter Members :
Since the passing of the gavel from 2009 President Peggy Smelcer, I look forward to the challenges ahead of me as 2010 President. We have a new slate of officers: Diane Farr, President-Elect, Kerry Davidson, VP of Membership, Beth Elkins in her 2nd term as Treasurer, and Verni Jones as Secretary.
This year has some exciting Fundraiser Events and Business Meetings, such as the Easter Basket Auction, TAR/Murfreesboro, 4th Annual Golf Tournament, and of course our NEW Membership Kick-Off starting January 1 thru March 2010. We have enthusiastic and knowledgeable speakers scheduled for our meetings as well. I'd also like to THANK our sponsors who have helped to keep this chapter alive.
My main reason for joining the Lakeway Area Chapter of the Women's Council of REALTORS three years ago was to Network with other REALTORS and Vendors to increase my business. I can say that I have made a lot of new friends and contacts throughout that time, and we all know in the tough times we can sure use Referrals!
The "TASK is to ASK" and get all our members and affiliates involved with WCR and to see it's potential. Remember, there is no I in TEAM, and if we all work together, we can accomplish our goals. Again, I look forward to serving as your 2010 President.
